The World Cup is an International event of epic proportions every four years. Although it never reaches the fever pitch in the United States as it does in other countries, the event is followed by much of the world. Many people working side by side in offices may not even know of the impending World Cup but everyone in the office can still have a few weeks of fun picking brackets just as they did for the NCAA Tournament in June.

The World Cup brackets can be found in many places, starting with the ESPN website. ESPN is committed to the World Cup this year and they have already started their World Cup bracket contest. There is $5,000 on the line for the winner of ESPN's contest. To attain an ESPN World Cup bracket just click on ESPN and go to the soccer page and you can enter their contest. For the first round match ups and groups click here. This gives you all the groups and makes it easier to set up World Cup brackets for everyone. Make sure everyone knows that they are picking two teams from each group as number one and number two in points for each group. This is what makes this bracket challenge a true challenge. Hints to filling out a World Cup bracket--Don't tell anyone your secrets!
Group A. France should win the group and Mexico should finish second in World Cup Group A.
Group B. Argentina should win and Nigeria should finish second in the standings for Group B.
Group C. England will finish first and the US should finish second in Group C.
Group D. Germany will finish first and take a slight surprise in Ghana to take second in Group D.
Group E. The Netherlands will take the top spot and Cameroon will take second in Group E.
Group F. Italy will dominate Group F and Paraguay will survive Group F in second.
Group G. Brazil will seep through Group G and Portugal will follow them in second.
Group H. Spain will smoke the competition in Group H and Chile will survive in second.

A secondary World Cup office pool is much easier and just as fun.
A second World Cup office pool that is fun, easy to run and simple. Office workers pull teams names out of a hat. Place all 32 teams in a hat or bowl and charge two-five dollars per team. Each worker picks for each pick. Depending how many office personnel there are, each person can have enough picks to distribute all 32 teams.
