Creating a Better Work Environment with a Universal Tool

Samuel Anderson
If you had to put a number on the amount of people who do not feel contented in their work environment, it probably would look like Google's last few income statements added together. Be it physical conditions, upper management, or even unpleasant co-workers, nearly everyone has had to deal with conditions of employment that are far from ideal. For some the obvious answer is to remove yourself from the negative conditions and find other means of making a living.

More often than not, however, it is our perception of the work environment that is what causes us distress. As is true with other situations, our focusing upon them makes them more prominent in our reality. There is a very powerful tool that is your best defense when dealing with an unwanted industrial environment or situation, and that tool is the Law of Attraction. Being the universal law that it is, you can think of it as being The Swiss Army Knife of business tools.

When we focus on grouchy coworkers, or stressful work environments and other undesirables of the workplace, it tells the universe that our perceptions of reality are "correct" by including these things. Without fail, your work environment will continue being a place of misery, because of your focus upon its miserable characteristics. The Law of Attraction - like a magnet - will bring us exactly what we focus upon and perceive. Every time.

Below are several concepts that, while sounding like a corporate morale manual, are actually ways of making your workday much more tolerable.

Instead of focusing on a rude customer's arrogance, focus on their problem. Instead of focusing on the factory's physical conditions, focus instead on something that you find pleasurable. Perhaps you find a sense of achievement in creating the highest quality widget you are able. Instead of focusing on the perceived inept actions of upper management, concentrate on giving the man what he pays you for. Yeah, yeah, this probably sounds like your first day at employee orientation, doesn't it? But in reality, it is what will change your reality.

Ask yourself this when coming home from work tomorrow. Did I add to my value in the world today? Did the world become a more positive place from my actions? Or did I add to the misery index through my words and my physical output?

Without fail, we receive more of what we focus on. It's what the universe unfailing does, same as any other natural law. Once you have a basic understanding of how the Law of Attraction functions, there truly is no limit to the situations you can apply it to. By focusing on things that are less negative in your employment environment, you will find your job seeming much less like...."work".
