Creating Glittered Pumpkins for Your Fridge

Shannon Frye
Here's a fun craft that you can make with your children, friends, family members or significant other. You can do a lot more with this decoration than just place it on the fridge. You can create a string of pumpkins, place them on greeting cards and notes, glue them on your child's trick or treat bag, etc. This is fun to do and it's very cheap. The first thing that you will need to do is purchase some construction paper. You will need black and orange sheets of construction paper. You will want at least 3 sheets of each color. You will also need some Elmer's Glue and some glitter that is silver, orange and black and any other colors that you might want to use.

All of these materials will not cost you more than $15. This is very fun to do and you can decorate your house in many ways with these materials. The first thing that you will want to do is create a pumpkin with the Elmer's glue. You will want to draw the outline of the pumpkin as well as the eyes, nose and mouth. Then before the glue dries you will want to sprinkle all of the glitter onto the glue. If you are using black paper you can use orange glitter. If you are using orange paper you can use silver glitter or glitter which is many different colors.

You can do this to all the paper that you have. You can let the paper dry and once the paper is dry you can cut it into sections to create some different decorations. You can cut the pumpkins out and glue them onto trick or treat bags. You can cut them out and place magnets on the back to create some fridge magnets. You can also blue the pumpkins onto some yarn and create a string of the pumpkins.

There's an endless amount of things that you can do with these pumpkins. You can even decorate them, place them on a sheet of different colored paper and frame the entire design. You can place these pictures out during Halloween. That way you can have pictures that are Halloween related without having to try and find some Halloween related pictures. You will save the money from purchasing the pictures.

You can send out Halloween cards and place the pumpkins on the cards. You can purchase blank cards and glue the pieces of paper to each card. It's an inexpensive way to send out some Halloween cards to some friends and family memebers.
