Creating a family tree about your ancestry can be a fun project, the only problem can be that buying a lot of family tree software can be expensive. Creating family trees on-line is a great solution. There are several family tree websites that let you create your family tree for free. These web sites will often have other helpful features. When I researched my lineage and created my family tree, I spent a lot of time looking at family tree web sites, these are the top places to make on-line family trees.

This is a very organized site that lets you create a family tree on-line. This site is very user friendly, even if you have no experience it is easy to create your family tree. This site also lets you make a web page for your family, and you can choose to keep it private or make it public. Ones of the really fun things about this web site is that once you have your family tree on it, when someone visits your website it will be customized for them. When you visit the site it will tell you exactly how you are related to any other other person in the family. This is a nice feature that makes your family tree web site very personalized. This site is completely free to make your family tree on, but if you would like to upgrade they also have plans that they charge for.

This is a basic yet helpful site. This is a great site for beginner's and pros alike. If you are a family historian and you have used GEDCOM this site lets you download it onto here. This site is also nice because it allows you to share photos and videos with other family members. This site is easy to use and very self explanatory. The only thing I don't like about this site is that you are a little limited to how much you can do.

This is one of my favorite family tree sites, and the best part about it is that it is free. This site has many extras that make your family tree fun and interesting. You can easily input your genealogy information, then you can look at or print all sorts of fun charts. This site is completely interactive. You can upload photos, then print a photo family tree. You can also create maps that show exactly where each family member was born and where they died. You can enter names of any two family members and it will show you a chart of exactly how they are related to each other. This site is also nice because it allows you to make large poster size print outs of your family tree.

With all these great free family tree websites there is no reason not to make a family tree. You don't need to buy expensive family tree software, you can just start the fun of learning about your genealogy and making a family tree.
