Creating Your Own Unique Hello Kitty at a Build-A-Bear Workshop

Are you a Hello Kitty fanatic? Do you collect Hello Kitty plush dolls? If yes, imagine creating your own hello Kitty stuffed animal to your own liking and that is one of a kind. I, myself, am a huge Hello Kitty fan, so needles to say that when I walked into the Build-A Bear Workshop in Anaheim, California and saw that they Hello Kitty items, I was ecstatic! Now, if you have never been to a Build-A-Bear workshop (this was my first time), here's how it works. First, you select the animal or character form that you would like to create. You can choose from a variety of "shells" or outer forms that you will stuff.

These "shells" vary in price. Some may be only ten dollars and some can be double that. Then you go up to machine and the store personnel asks you how much you want to stuff it and he or she gives you a fabric hear to place inside of the stuffed animal and then he or she sews up the loose ends and your animal is now stuffed! Personally, I think that the next step is the most fun - accessorizing your stuffed animal!

What's great about this place is that they also have a selection of Hello Kitty accessories. From tops to skirts, from shoes to purses, you can create a stylish and personalized look for your new Hello Kitty stuffed animal. I chose to go with a casual look for my Hello Kitty stuffed animal and adorned her with a t-shirt with a Hello Kitty emblem, coordinating shorts, and adorable pink Hello Kitty fuzzy slippers!

Upon purchase you received a birth certificate where you can choose a name for your stuffed animal and which you can also register online at their store computers and participate in a virtual world made for you stuffed animal.
Accessories range from a couple of dollars to about twelve dollars. Overall, the entire experience can get pretty pricey. Luckily, I had a coupon for 20% off at the time and I have seen other offers similar to that floating around. Also, you can sign up to receive newsletters that offer additional and exclusive discounts. However, I would say the price is well worth it. If you love Hello Kitty like I do, nothing really beats making your own unique Hello Kitty stuffed animal that you can add to your own personal collection and display proudly!
