Creating a Spooky Shower Curtain

Shannon Frye
Creating a spooky shower curtain is one of the best Halloween decorations that you can do. It's a ton of fun and you can create many different shower curtains scenes for different days. You can reuse these shower curtains next year during Halloween. You can have your child help you make this spooky shower curtain. The first thing that you need to do is go to the store and purchase at least one clear, cheap shower curtain. If you want to create many different scenes or have some practice curtains you can purchase a few of them.

You will then want to purchase some type of plastic paint or spray paint that will stick to your shower curtain. You will need to paint the curtain somewhere that you will not destroy. You can set up cardboard in the garage and hang the curtain up to dry in the garage after you paint it. You will want to create a basic outline of a shadow figure. You will want to shape out the figure to look about the size of a real human standing behind the shower curtain. You can create a figure which looks like it's standing off to the side hiding or you can create the shadow figure which is holding a gun or a chainsaw.

This will be very fun to do. You will have a wonderful time designing a shower curtain with a shadow figure on it. You can create several different shower curtains with different designs. You can choose to keep them all and change them out at different days before Halloween. This whole project will not cost you more than about $30.

You can draw the basic outline of a person using some type of light colored pencil. You can even trace somebody else on the curtain to make sure that the person is life size. There's an endless number of things that you can do with this curtain. You can choose to rip part of the curtain and glue part of the gun, chainsaw or knife onto the curtain which looks like it's sticking through the curtain.

Use your imagination with this one and create a unique shower curtain. It will not cost you very much and it's really fun to do. You can find everything that you need from a store such as Walmart. You can find a clear shower curtain at any local store such as Shopko, Walmart and Kmart. The whole shower curtain will not cost you more than a regular shower curtain would.
