Creation According to Genesis

The Six Days of Creation

Mr. B
Though there are six days of creation the time frame in which God created these objects were not necessarily created in the twenty four hour time frame most measure a day in. Each of these days could represent thousands or millions of years or could have happened instantaneously.

When you look at the creation process that moves from Day one to Day six please note how God moved from creating the general and abstract to the more specific and concrete things that we find in our surroundings. If you follow this rule you will find that humans, the most complicated of all species was created last giving humans the more importance over all other things.

Day 1

On the first day of creation God created light and "separated the light from the darkness." God named the light and darkness day and night and on the first day "there was evening and there was morning."

Day 2

On the second day of creation God created the sky and the sea. "Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters." "God called the dome Sky."

Day 3

On the third day of creation God created land and vegetation. "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." "Let the earth put forth vegetation: plants yielding seed, and fruit trees of every kind on earth that bear fruit with a seed in it."

Day 4

On the fourth day of creation God created the sun moon and stars. "Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years, and let them be lights in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth."

Day 5

On the fifth day of creation God created the birds and the fish. "Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the dome of the sky."

Day 6

On the sixth and final day of creation God created the animals and creepy crawlers that roamed the land. "Let the earth bring forth living creatures of every kind; cattle and creeping things and wild animals of the wart of very kind." "Let us make mankind in our image according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."

Day 7

Known as the Sabbath, God rested on the seventh day from all of the work that he had done. "So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation."
