We all know the physical answer to the first question; I hope. Science and Biology tells us that we all came from our parents, but where did our souls originate? I believe that science and the Bible can both co-exist on the same page in the scheme of our beginning. I am not a Scientologist, but I do believe that a higher power set everything in motion to create all that is.
The First Movement
God is an unknown "spirit force" which has always been. The Christian beliefs and the ancient Egyptians beliefs are quite similar; both agree that all is needed to start the process of creation is "nothing and spirit." When these two concepts are brought together, all things can be created. The Egyptians also believed that creation started with a "movement of spirit."
Just as the Bible states; "God moved upon the face of the waters" and then in the next sentence God said, "let there be light," which proves that this "movement" happened first and then light came immediately after the movement. There are over 900 versions of the Bible in the world, and most of them start out with "In the beginning," so everything in the beginning was created first from this movement of God.
The Purpose of the Soul
"Why are here," is probably another question which boggles the mind. If you've ever asked yourself this question then you believe in the soul. If you don't believe in the soul then you wouldn't be reading this article. The soul is an eternal source of energy which displaces as it incarnates; or is born. So our existence on this dimension is all about the development of the soul.
Each day we're faced with numerous situations which provide useful insight for our spiritual development. We come to this dimension with a "Life theme" which is a way to experience and gain insight for the soul as we go through each event.
These "themes" are choices that we made (along with our higher self) when we decided to incarnate on this dimension. These themes may also be a way of helping us overcome problems which we may have neglected in a past life. There are many levels of learning in many dimensions, with each level experiencing things in a different way as we prepare for the ascension of the soul.
It has also been stated that there are many levels in heaven just as Enoch stated in the "book of Enoch," as did others. Enoch was reported in the Bible as being one of the most spiritual leaders of his time. Enoch was taken up and "did not die" according to the Bible as he ascended to another level. Not much else was said of him; although he was one the most spiritual leaders in the Bible; kinda curious isn't it?
Our Past Lineage
Enoch's book was not included into the "biblical cannon" of text which made up the Bible because of the language in which it was written in, and of course because of the controversial information which was included in the text such as: reincarnation, degrees or levels in Heaven etc...
The Bible states that in Genesis Six, the "sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all that they chose." This is when mankind's lineage is changed, and this infuriates God.
The Lord then says: "My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years." Now man's days are drastically lessoned.
Then the Bible quotes: "when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men and were of old." These mighty men were the Nefilim who were bred from the sons of God. This is a related story which also tells of our past lineage. This lineage of the Nefilim is what caused the great flood in the Bible.
Our Spiritual Quest
Where do you go when you leave this world? I believe the answer to this question depends on what you did while we were in this world, and what you (and the soul) believe. On the evolutional scale, if you didn't accomplish what you came here to do in the first place, then you might just have to do it all over again; hence reincarnation.
This would be compared to running up a large staircase and skipping over some very important steps as you made your way to the top. Then if you happened to fall on the way (skipping over these steps) you end up starting all over again retracing the same steps which you missed in the very beginning.
But the happy note is; if you did what you came here to do, and experienced what you were supposed to experience, then your soul moves on to the next level of ascension as you grow closer to God. I believe in the end if we choose to do so, that we eventually merge with the spirit of God to be one, just like the beginning.
