You can make easy crafts to make the rainy day fun for your child. Below I have listed the must have snacks and crafts.
*crackers
*hot chocolate
*chips
*juices
*crayons
*sizzors
*glue
*googly eyes
*glitter
*construction paper
*old magazines
*pasta
*buttons
*yarn
If you have all or most of these things, you need not worry about a child being bored. The following crafts are easy to make.
*****People Collages*****
Have your child pick out people in a magazine that are wearing red, or people that are wearing shorts etc... The child will have fun looking through the magaizine pages and cutting out the different people. Once several people have been cut out, paste all of them on a sheet of paper. Gluing and cutting is fun for kids. Make sure the sizzors aren't too sharp and if they are, you can help cut out the pictures.
*****Glittery Water Drops*****
Draw and cut out a simple water drop shape, pointy at the top and fatter as it goes down, it's just like an egg with a very pointy top. The kids can get out the shape or several of them, decorate it with glitter and show it off proudly.
*****Construction paper Jig-saw*****
Have your child draw a picture on construction paper, color with markers or crayons and cut the paper up in wiggly shapes. Have the child put the picture together agai like a jig-saw puzzle.
*****Portraits*****
If you have some pasta, yarn and a bit of glitter, you can have your child create a portrait of you or of themselves. Use buttons, pasta, yarn, googly eyes and anything you can get your hands on for the eyes, nose, hair and lips. The key is to be creative.
*****Coloring*****
Don't feel like getting fancy with the crafts? No problem! Plain old coloring will do. If you don't have a coloring book, you can print out coloring pages for free. Use a search engine to help you find them.
Have fun!
