Creative Christmas Gifts for Teachers that Are Fun and Unique

No More Mugs or Apples Please!

It's bad enough thinking of Christmas gifts for our kids, but what about their teachers? Now for families who have more than one child gift giving can be quite expensive. However, you still want to be creative, and not give them something dull like a mug, or money for them to buy lunch. Have fun with the ideas, and just stay within your budget.

Donate Book And Magazines

Being a parent most of us own at least 20-30 books, and some of them just lay around on the floor collecting dust. Clean them up place them into a nice basket, add some cheap dollar store school supplies, and decorate the basket in a book theme using ribbon, book markers, and maybe add a cute little homemade note with a cute quote like Mrs so and so teaches straight from her heart and not from these books. Make the saying accommodate the book idea.

Homemade Teacher Recipe Collection

I noticed this year my kids were coming home and telling me about different fun recipes they used in the classroom for either a party, or project. Copy all of your most famous cooking recipes, then go around to each kid and let them give you one of their recipes. If you have a professional beautician, masseuse, computer expert, or music lover in your neighbor allow them to write down a recipe of their own. Example: Beautician could be hairstyles for teachers, quick styles for teachers, or easy maintenance. All teachers work on computers, have the computer guy/girl write down certain websites for teachers, troubleshooting they might need, or equipment they can use in the classroom.

You can place the recipes individually into it's own box/folder, or turn them all into a book. Then decorate using your creativity. Place a big bow and voila your done.

Personalized Mouse Pad

Hit the internet to get some ideas and fabrics you want to use. Once you decided on the pattern, make up the design. Since this is for your teacher, place your teachers name on the top, and why not add all the kids names that were in this years class? For the border you can do the alphabet or numbers. Make sure to place the year as well. This is such a cute idea.

Collection Of Songs About Teachers, And Saying Thanks

This fun idea can be used in so many different ways. You can make a CD of songs to be used in the classroom for the kid, songs about appreciation to the teacher, or songs you know your teacher likes. You want to be creative do a mixture of all 3 ideas on one CD. Some songs that are hip and fun for the class can be Cold Play "Clocks", Gloria Estefan "Get On Your Feet", Bobby McFerrin "Don't Worry, Be Happy", or even Sister Sledge "We Are Family." The ideas here are endless.

Songs to say thanks to your teacher can be "Wind Beneath My Wings", The Climb" by Miley cyrus, "Thank You" by Dido, or maybe even make your own song up and use the teachers name in it.
