Creative DIY Winter Wedding Favors

Esper_D
Every wedding has wedding favors that guests enjoy to play with, eat or take home with them. These are placed on tables for wedding guests to pick up and use for their own personal use. There are places that will create wedding favors for you that you can purchase and go. Or, you have the very cool option of creating your own. This option is more unique and personal and will mean more to your guests as you put your own creativity and care into each one.

Tiny Bubbles

One of the most common wedding favors to give are tiny bottles of bubbles. The Dollar Tree sells these all year 'round in packs of 12 for only $1/pack. You can also find larger quantities at a good price on Oriental Trading. A couple weeks before customizing your bubbles, order some customized stickers on the web. Most places that do customized address labels also have the option to create stickers with your choice of wording and pictures. Kodak pictures online also has this option. Take a sticker and place on each bottle of bubbles. Take a ribbon in the color of your wedding and tie a bow around each one.

Chocolate Covered Almonds

Chocolate covered almonds are a delicious and exquisite treat that are better than those boring wedding mints or peanuts found at many receptions. Create this by purchasing small paper boxes in your wedding color. Oriental Trading is a good place to look as they sell them in bulk. Take chocolate covered almonds and fill the small boxes and place the lid on top. Using premade labels such as "Sue's and Joe's Wedding", place on the cover. Yogurt covered almonds are also an alternative and come in white, which is a nice wedding touch.

Disposable Camera

Even though you have a wedding photographer, it might be a fun idea for your guests to take pictures as well. Purchase a disposable camera and place one on every table. Include a $5 gift certificate to a photo place such as Walgreens or Wal-mart and include a note asking your guests to take photos of your special night, of whatever they'd like. They can use the gift certificate to get double prints or convert them to a cd so that you both will have a copy. It's a fun way to get guests involved in the fun and kids will especially enjoy this wedding favor.
