Make sure that you push the section of tubes about one inch into the soil to protect the young plants from the cutworms.

Creative gardening tips with using paper towels: Drying Herbs
You can use paper towels to help dry your herbs faster. For the larger leaved herbs, such as mint, basil, and sage, you will want to first remove the leaves from the stem. Then you need to place them in a single layer on top of a paper towel. For the shorter leaved herbs, you will place the entire stem on the paper towel and allow it to dry. After they have dried, then you can strip the leaves from the stem.
Additional household tip with using paper towels
I use this trick all the time to keep my heads of lettuce fresher longer. I take a dampened paper towel and wrap it around the head of lettuce. Then I place the head of lettuce in a Ziploc Storage BagĀ® and store it in the refrigerator in the vegetable crisper. This will keep it from browning and going bad for quite some time.
These are great creative tips that you can use today and get the most use out of your paper towels.
