Creative Ideas for Designing a Luxury Bathroom

Scott Kessman

If you wish to have a luxurious bathing space, there are a number of ideas that you can implement in order to get the desired effect. When you design a luxury bathroom, there are a number of things that you need to look at very carefully in order to get it right. There are a few accent pieces that have to be chosen along with the right fixtures. A combination of these two elements will help in giving your bathroom a luxurious appearance. When you begin with the bathroom design you should lay a lot of emphasis on the materials used as that will make all the difference. For instance, the bathroom tiles and partitions should be chosen with care.

You could ideally opt for the glass effect in your bathroom design if you want to feel the space. Since glass does not block your view, it will give a feeling of space. Glass also helps in adding that elegant touch. So, you could add basins, bathtubs, shower stall, and a relaxing chair to complete the luxurious feel. Use frosted glass for countertops and windows. Chrome bathroom fixtures go well with the glass theme. Always use slip-resistant floor tiles for the bathroom. Don't use too many colors in your color scheme. Just stick to two basic colors.

To give your bathrooms a rich feel you could choose the classic wood décor for the bathroom design. Everything should have the wood finish - bathtubs, shower enclosures, shower panels, shelves, etc. To enhance the décor add wooden blinds for the bathroom windows. Wood finish wall tiles go well with off white flooring. A mix of chocolate and beige colored fixtures goes very well with this design. Use only the highest quality wood for the countertops as it will be water resistant. Put up a mirror with a simple wooden border. Use cherry wood or dark brown wood color.

Using a color theme in your bathroom design to create a luxurious feel is simple. You just have to choose the right combination. Use a mix of light and dark color, where the light color is the predominant one and the dark color should be kept to around 20% of the décor.
