Creative Recipes for Cocktails to Serve at Your Holiday Party

Make an impression on your guests at your holiday party this year. Here are the top ten most unique holiday cocktails you can serve:

1) Holiday Almond - this is a lovely drink to prepare for guests. 1 serving. Mix 1 oz. Tanqueray, ½ ounce of almond liquor, splash of bitters, a slpash of sour mix and pour into a brandy snifter. Add a few ice cubes and garnish with two marishino cherries. Drink up!

2) Peach Pomegranate Holiday Martini - combine 1 oz Van Gogh Pomegranate Vodka, 3/4 oz Peach Schnapps, 1 oz orange juice, splash of lemon juice. It's best to use Van Gogh Pomegranate Vodka. Mix all ingredients and shake and strain. Pour into chilled cocktail glasses. Garnish with ground cinnamon, granulated sugar and spiraled orange rind.

3) White Christmas Dream - This is a thick cocktail that will be perfect if served as a dessert. Pour 1oz. vodka, 1 oz. amaretto, and 1 oz. of heavy cream into a cocktail shaker, shake and empty into chilled cocktail glasses. Top with grated nutmeg. Since it is so creamy it also tastes very well with berries such as strawberry, raspberry and blueberry.

4) Mistletoe Martini - Looking for an aphrodisiac? 2 servings. This martini contains a mix of 3 oz. chilled cranberry tea, 2oz. of orange juice, ¾ oz. of lemon juice, 3 tsp sugar, shake all together in a cocktail shaker then strain and pour into chilled martini glasses.

5) Grinch - I serving .This green cocktail will definitely get grumpy guests smiling.. Take the chilled martini glass and wet the rim with lemon and coat with red colored sugar. Combine 2 oz. Midori, ½ oz lemon juice, 1 tsp. simple syrup. Shake and pour into chilled cocktail glasses. Garnish with a maraschino cherry that represents the heart that lies within the Dr. Seuss character

6) Hot Brandy Toddy - 1 serving. Place 1 teaspoon of simple syrup, one cinnamon stick and I shot of brandy into an Irish mug. Place the cloves into the bottom of an Irish mug. Pour the hot boiling water onto the mixture. Remove the cloves. Serve very warm and garnish with lemon.

7) Candy Cane - 2 servings. SKKY Berry Vodka is best used with this recipe. Coat the rim of the ciaktail glass with crushed candy cane using Crème de cacao. Pour 1 oz. of SKKY Berry Vodka, 1 oz. Peppermint Schnapps, 1oz white Crème de Cacao and ½ oz. grenadine into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Pour into two cocktail glasses with candied rims. Fill with half and half and top with soda water.

8) Silly Kiss - 1 serving- Created by Chris Kelly at the Tibetan Lounge in Georgetown. Combine, 1 ounce premium rum such as Ten Cane, 1 ounce of orange flavored liquor such as grand mariner, and 1 ounce of eggnog (high quality store bought) in shaker with ice. Strain into Champagne flute and add the champagne. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

9) Snow Storm Café - 1 serving. Take a chilled mug and fill it with 1 ounce of frangelico, ½ ounce of Navan and ½ ounce cognac. Top with whipped crème and chocolate covered coffee beans. This drink is perfect for an evening after skiing and sitting by the fire.

10) Holiday Twirl - Absolut vodka work s best with this recipe. Garnish with rosemary sprig and cranberries. This recipe makes 2 drinks. Add the rosemary to the cocktail shaker then fill with ice. Add 3 oz. Absolut Vanilla Vodka, 2 oz. D'Lish Lemon and Lime Sour, 3 oz. cranberry sour, and 1 oz. apricot nectar. Shake until very cold. Strain and pour into martini glasses. Float the rosemary and cranberry on top.
