Creative Recycled Christmas Crafts; A Look at Ten Great Christmas Crafts Articles

David Farrell
With Christmas just around the corner, people are looking for suggestions on Christmas crafts that they can make. Crafters love to share their knowledge on how they assemble the Christmas crafts, and Associated Content is a great website for how-to guides for Christmas crafts. Christmas crafts are a great way to recycle material and be creative about it. So without further ado, here is a list of some of the best Christmas crafts articles on Associated Content.

We will start out with the Christmas tree. Content Producer Lou Lou describes in his article, "Homemade Christmas Tree Ornaments" how to make two Christmas crafts. In the first Lou Lou explains how you can make holiday bow ornaments out of strips of construction paper. (These bows also work well on presents!) The second is how to make homemade cookie ornaments. The dough and salt recipe, preparations, and finishing touches are covered in detail.

Tiffany B details in her article, "How to Make Christmas Cards into Christmas Ornaments for Next Year" how to make ornaments from Christmas cards. She describes three variations of this Christmas craft.

In her article, "No Christmas tree ornaments? No problem," Rebecca Hayes details some more ideas for Christmas ornaments with some simple Christmas crafts. Her crafts detail making creative ornaments from candy, old socks, CD's and other unwanted items.

For the holiday wreath, Mr. Dave in his article, "How to Make a Homemade Christmas Wreath from Scratch" describes how to go about assembling a wreath from bare materials. He describes the materials needed for this craft and how to obtain them. Then he describes how to assemble the wreath. Many of the above-mentioned ornaments can be used to decorate the wreath.

Now let's focus on some unique Christmas crafts. Candy canes can be a problem, but not for Amy Brantley. In her article, "Christmas Crafts Made with Candy Canes," Amy Brantley details three unique Christmas crafts that are made from candy canes; an ornament, a candy dish, and a centerpiece.

In "Six Homemade Christmas Crafts for Children," FlutterBy details six Christmas crafts including Popcorn Strings, Christmas Cookies, homemade ornaments, and more. The Christmas crafts are simple and the instructions are easy to follow.

Angela Harris in her article, "Christmas Crafts for Kids - Homemade Plastic Bag Wreaths" describes how to make wreaths from cut-up plastic bags. This Christmas craft is a great Christmas craft for children, but if the finished look isn't satisfying, there's nothing to stop you from finishing it with a nice coat of green or gold spray paint.

In "Bead Christmas Crafts You Can Make with Your Child," Happy-go-lucky Girl describes two awesome Christmas crafts that can be made out of beads, a bracelet and a candy cane. Both can make great gifts and the candy can is an awesome ornament.

In "Free Snowman Christmas Crafts for Kids" Nannette Richford does a great job of listing sixteen creative snowman Christmas crafts she found online. These Christmas crafts provide a great way to recycle extra materials.

And last but not least, in "5 Christmas Crafts Made from Milk Jugs," RS shares five unique eco-friendly Christmas crafts that can be made from milk jugs.

At this point, I have to end the article. There are so many great articles out there, but these ten Christmas crafts articles had a good focus on recycling and had creativity, so I mentioned them. Happy holidays and merry Christmas!

Wow; I appreciate all the compliments! The hardest thing about writing this article was having to limit the words and the number of articles out there. It was difficult having to pick some articles over others but I had to keep it down within en articles. So I tried to round it out but keep the list focused on creative recycled crafts. There were so many great articles out there that I knew I had to pick ten or else I would have a ten page article.
