Add Some Sizzle to Your Celebration with These Creative Red, White, and Blue Drinks

What's a 4th of July celebration without a few good drinks? These refreshing summer recipes will be the perfect addition to your celebration and have your guests crowning you Mixologist of the Year. Instead of serving the usual beer and margaritas, take a different twist. Offer your party-goers a combination of red, white, and blue drinks, complete with tasty garnishments!

Red Cocktails

My Sweet Red Lips

Serve in: Cocktail Glass

2 oz vodka
2 oz raspberry schnapps
3 oz cranberry juice

Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with crushed ice, or blend with ice. Strain into glass.

Garnish: Lime peel twist.

Pomegranate Martini

Serve in: Cocktail Glass

2 oz citrus vodka
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/4 oz fresh pomegranate juice
1 oz simple syrup

Shake all ingredients well with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Add a dash of rose water if available.

Garnish: Flamed orange peel

Washington Apple Cocktail

Serve in: Highball Glass

2 oz Crown Royal® Canadian Whiskey
2 oz DeKuyper® Sour Apple Pucker schnapps
2 oz cranberry juice

Pour DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker and Crown Royal Canadian Whiskey into a highball glass filled with ice. Add cranberry juice.

Garnish: Cherries on a garnish pick

White Cocktails

White Dove

Serve in: Brandy Snifter

3/4 oz amaretto almond liqueur
3/4 oz white creme de cacao
2 cups ice cream
chocolate syrup
1 1/2 oz whipped cream

Pour amaretto and cream de cacao into a blender cup with the ice cream. Blend until smooth like a shake. Line the inside of a snifter glass with chocolate syrup. Pour drink into a cup and top with whipped cream.

Garnish: Add cherry to top.

White Heart

Serve in: Cocktail Glass

1/2 oz sambuca
1/2 oz white creme de cacao
2 oz cream

Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass.

Garnish: None.

White Jamaican

Serve in: Collins Glass

1 1/2 oz Malibu® coconut rum
3/4 oz Myer's® dark rum
3/4 oz creme de cacao
4 oz milk
ice

Fill a Collins glass with ice and pour in the ingredients. Speed shake and serve.

Garnish: Cherry on garnish pick

Blue Cocktails

Absolut Blue Lemonade recipe

Serve in: Highball Glass

1 oz Absolut® vodka
1 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
4 - 5 oz lemonade

Shake and serve on ice.

Garnish: Lemon wheel on side of glass

Blue Dream

Serve in: Old Fashioned Glass

2 oz Malibu® coconut rum
2 oz Pina Colada mix
2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur

Pour the Malibu coconut rum into glass over ice. Add the Pina Colada mix and Blue Curacao; serve unstirred to see color difference, stir when ready to drink.

Garnish: Pineapple wedge

Bahama Blue

Serve in: Collins Glass

1 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
1/2 oz dark rum
1/2 oz light rum
1 tsp cream of coconut
1 1/2 oz pineapple juice

Measure a Collins glass full of ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Add ingredients, shake well, and pour back into Collins glass.

Garnish: Pineapple wedge
