Valentine's Day is a great day to show our loved-ones how we feel. And although our expression of love should not be limited to one day only, the Valentine's air affects in such a way that it inspires and moves us to do something special, romantic, crazy - if not outrageous - for our loved ones! The good news about Valentine's Day is it need not necessarily be expensive. The bad news, however, is that some people think they are not creative enough for a Valentine's craft. They feel they need to take crash courses on handicrafts and art! These negative notions on creativity are about to change. Here below are some of the most easy but useful tips and ideas on how to be creative with your Valentine's crafts. Surely, these ideas will make your loved-ones know just how much they mean to you - not by the cost of its materials, but by the time, effort and obvious creativity poured into it.

• Personality - When making a valentine's craft for your loved-one, keep in mind that it should be all about the person whom you are giving the Valentine's craft to. A little personality in your handmade valentine's craft will go a long way. How do you achieve this? Start by making an assessment of his or her interest. What kind of sport does he like? What are his hobbies? What is her favorite color? What is her favorite love poem? These are some of the questions you can ask yourself in order to know what kind of personality your craft will need. Incorporate a little of this personality into your craft. Use their favorite color. Add a line of his or her favorite poem. Keep the personality of your loved-one in mind not only as a theme for your craft but more importantly, as a way of telling your loved-one that little details of his or her person did not go unnoticed by you.

• Don't be afraid to be creative - Some people can be very creative while some cannot. The only difference between these two kinds of people is not imagination but fear. Sometimes, people can be so afraid with what they are not used to and so, they stick with old, boring, dull and repeated crafts again and again. They stick with what they are comfortable with. However, as mentioned, Valentine's Day is not about oneself and what we are comfortable with. It's about the other person and showing and giving the best that we can be. Certainly, imagination and creativity have endless possibilities for the best. And don't your loved-ones deserve just that?

• Experiment with bright colors - One can never go wrong with bright colors on a Valentine's Day. It is a day of celebration, a day of hearts. Unfortunately, some people think red is the only color of valentines. Yes, it is the primary color of valentine's as it speaks of love and passion. However, one must realize that there are other strong, passionate, intense colors in the color wheel too. Green speaks of hope and life in a perhaps-dying romance. Light blue speaks of serenity and contentment which may describe how you feel when you are with your loved-one.

• Use unique materials - As mentioned, Valentine's crafts need not be expensive and costly. Use unique materials and even a greater idea would be to use materials that remind you of each other. If you are making a valentine's craft scrapbook, throw in a napkin or a matchbox from your favorite restaurant. If you're writing a love letter, seal it inside the bottle of his favorite drink. Make use of dates spent together, places gone to together and times enjoyed together.
Lovers are simply thrilled at the idea of giving, rather than the gift itself. What's more, Valentine's Day gifts are certainly made more special and romantic if it is created rather than bought, thought and planned carefully, made with a personal loving touch, and delivered uniquely and with much love. With these simple but creative ideas, your loved one should feel extra special, extra happy and, of course, extra loved!
