Confetti Shaker. Empty Parmesan cheese containers make a great confetti shaker for various art and craft projects. Just fill an empty Parmesan cheese container with the paper scraps from a cross-cut paper shredder. You can then use the container to shake the confetti out on to glue-covered areas to make a unique texture on greeting cards, scrapbooking pages, and other craft projects.
Nuts, Bolts, and Screws Holder. If you have various nuts, bolts, screws, and other small random hardware lying around the garage or basement, an empty Parmesan cheese container is a great place to store them. Parmesan cheese containers are clear so you can see what's inside, they are study enough to hold the hardware, and the lid can either be used to shake out just a few pieces of hardware, or you can unscrew the lid and reach down inside it.
Food Gift Container. If you are planning on giving someone a homemade gift of goodies such as candies, an empty Parmesan cheese container makes a great gift box. Parmesan cheese containers seal tightly enough to keep your food fresh and the interesting shape is easy to decorate with ribbons or bows to make a very attractive gift.
Powdered Sugar Shaker. If you like shaking some powdered sugar onto French toast or other confections, try keeping some powdered sugar in an empty Parmesan cheese container. Then when you're ready to dress up your morning pastries, just shake out a little powdered sugar. Just be careful: the openings on a Parmesan cheese container are fairly large and the powdered sugar will flow freely!
Fiber Supplement Shaker. If you or anyone in your family uses a fiber supplement in a powder form, try keeping it in an empty Parmesan cheese container. The Parmesan cheese container, free of a label, will look better sitting on your kitchen counter than a large fiber container. The openings on the Parmesan cheese container are great for shaking out the fiber supplement or for spooning it out.
Baby Wipes On The Go. If you tend to purchase baby wipes in large quantities, you may find it difficult to take a few with you in the car or other places without an appropriate container. An empty Parmesan cheese container works perfectly for this. Just place several wipes in the Parmesan cheese container and you're ready to go. You can reach in and pull out just one baby wipe at a time, and the plastic Parmesan cheese container will keep the remaining wipes fresh and moist.
Empty Parmesan cheese containers are perfect for a variety of uses. Don't let your next Parmesan cheese container end up in a landfill without first considering your recycling options.

Post a CommentGreat ideas... I try to hold onto containers for a while...usually find they can be helpful in some way.
I love learning news ways to re-use items around the house. These were really clever ideas. My favorites were the confetti and the powdered sugar.

Very cool ideas. I think I'll use mine for cinnamon sugar for sprinkling on toast. Thanks for sharing.
You are brilliant!
These are really good ideas! I actually use the empty containers for other types of grated cheese (that comes in a bag). Great article!
About the "unlabeled" fiber supplement...you should ALWAYS label things like this.
