Creative Ways to Decorate Your Bathroom in a Dolphin Theme

Today I'd like to share with you how you can decorate your bathroom in a dolphin theme. Many of the ideas that I will give to you are inexpensive and easy to do. Once I give you a few ideas you will start being able to be creative and figure out some more decorations that you can make for your bathroom. You can also incorporate these ideas for the rest of your home as well.

The first idea that I have for you is a dolphin shower curtain. Many times stores will have shower curtains that are already made. You can find one that has a dolphin pattern on it. If you are unable to find a shower curtain with a dolphin pattern on it then you can purchase some material at a fabric store. What you will need to do is take an old shower curtain with you and have the sales leader measure out the amount of fabric that you will need to make your shower curtain. One thing that I want you to realize though, this shower curtain will only be for decoration. It will not be waterproof. You will need to place a vinyl shower curtain behind it for when you take your showers. When you get home you are going to hem your new shower curtain on all sides to give it seams and hems. If you do not want to use a sewing machine then you can purchase hemming tape while you are at the fabric store. Just ask the sales lady and she will direct you to it. Instead of making holes in the top of your shower curtain you can use a push rod to hold your shower curtain in place.

The next idea that I have for you is to take some of your matching material from your curtain and place it around your toilet tank cover and rugs. You can create a ruffle by hand by cutting a strip of material the length of these items. Make sure that the width of the material is approximately 2 inches. When you are ready to create your ruffle you will fold the material in half width wise. Be sure to tuck in your raw edges. You can sew these two edges together or you can get fabric glue to hold them together. You will begin making a ruffle by taking your rug and turning it to the back side. Begin by gluing the ruffle to the rug and slowly add gathers as you go along. This will create the ruffle. Glue as you go along. When you have reached the end of the rug (the place where you started) be sure to hide your raw edges again.

A third idea that I have for you for a dolphin theme idea for your bathroom is to take some of the material and decoupage it to your toothbrush holder, drinking glass, and soap dish. You can purchase decoupage glue at your local craft store. All that you will need to do is cut out your dolphins and sea life and glue it to your items. You now will have brand new looking accessories in your bathroom. Another item that you can decoupage that will look really great is your switch plate and socket plate covers. This will brighten up your bathroom and look really great.

One last idea that I have for you is to take and hang a shelf in your bathroom. You can paint that shelf any color that you wish. Once the shelf has dried you can add some cutouts of your dolphins to it. You should be able to use the decoupage glue on this as well. When you have finished making your shelf there is one more detail that you can add to the room. You can take your material and cut out your dolphins. Take these cutouts and place them in a mixture of glue and water. You want mostly glue. Scrunch up your cutout and soak it in the glue mixture. After you have done this you will lay it out on a flat surface to dry. The dolphin will be crisp and starchy. You can add these dolphins to pictures or hang them throughout your bathroom.

I hope that these ideas will help you when it comes to doing your bathroom in a dolphin theme. I know that you are going to have a lot of fun doing these projects. They are very affordable and inexpensive to make. As I stated before now that I have given you some ideas you can go on to create your own ideas for your bathroom. Let the creative juices flow!! You are going to have a fabulous time.
