Wallets If you know someone who could use a new wallet, then this would be the perfect accompaniment for the gift card. Simply tuck the gift card inside the wallet and wrap. When the person opens the wallet they will find a nice surprise inside. You could also use this idea when giving a cash gift.
Mittens Hand knitted mittens make a great gift, especially during the winter holiday season. You can offer the mittens along with a scarf tucked into a knitted hat. Stuff your gift card inside one of the mittens to serve as your gift card holder. When the gift recipient tries on the mittens they will find the gift card and be surprised.
Small Photo Album or Brag Book This idea would be great for grandparents. Grandparents love to show off pictures of their grandchildren. Purchase or make a small photo album or brag book to give to the grandparents filled with pictures of their grandchildren. You can slide the gift card into the last photo slot for a surprise ending.
Purses Many little girls love purses. They are great for holding things like small toys, lip balm, or allowance money. Give the special girl in your life a purse to add to their collection with a gift card hiding inside.
Mugs Hot cocoa is a delicious winter time treat. You can create your own hot cocoa mix and place it inside of a plastic bag and tie it shut with a ribbon. Place the homemade cocoa mix into the mug along with a candy cane, chocolate dipped spoon, or cinnamon stick for stirring the cocoa with. Tuck a gift card into the mug as well; you can hide it behind the hot cocoa mix to surprise your gift recipient. You can purchase a mug, paint your own mug, or buy a photo mug to place the contents inside. If your gift recipients rather have coffee you can place a small bag of specialty coffee inside of the mug in place of the hot cocoa mix.
Bucket of Popcorn This idea would be perfect for the movie lover in your life. You can stuff the bucket of popcorn with tasty treats, perfect for munching on while watching a movie. Place your gift card on the bottom of the bucket to hide underneath the candy.
Movie Rental Store or Movie Theater gift cards would work well for this idea.
Hand Puppets This idea works similar to the mitten idea. There are many hand puppets available on the market for children. You could also create your own using socks and other craft materials. When the child slips the puppet onto their hand they will find something hiding inside for them, your gift card.
CandyBarsSomeone with a sweet tooth would love to receive a candy bar as part of their gift. Hersey's Chocolate Bars come with an outer brown wrapper sleeve, making it the perfect choice for giving with a gift card. Simply slide your gift card inside the brown sleeve. When your gift recipient opens their candy bar they will find a nice surprise.
You could also purchase small stuffed animal gift card holders, gift card tins, or special cards meant for holding gift cards to give to your gift recipient instead.
