Creative Ways to Use Leftover Flue Tiles

Use Leftover Flue Tiles for Your Garden or Yard!

Dina Montgomery
If you have just completed the task of dismantling your chimney, you may ask yourself what in the world are you going to do with all those leftover flue tiles? Believe it or not, those leftover flue tiles can be used for countless things that you maybe haven't even thought about. You can use them in the garden for storing garden tools, and use them for holding flowers or plants in your yard. They can be very useful, so here are some of the ways you can use all of those leftover flue tiles.

Storage for garden stakes

Place the leftover flue tiles in the corner of your garden or garden shed for easy storage for garden stakes. Instead of throwing them into a messy pile in the corner where they can easily pile up and get out-of-control, use the flue tile to keep them organized and preventing a big messy pile.

Storage for garden tools

Flue tiles are great for holding all of your short-handled gardening tools. Place the flue tiles in your garden shed or in the corner of your garden or yard, and whenever you are done with your yard work or gardening, just toss them into the flue tiles. They will stay organized and you know where they are for next time.

Storage for gloves or knee pads

Flue tiles are perfect for holding your gardening gloves and knee pads. For convenience, place the flue tile by the door so whenever you call it quits for the day, just plunk the gloves and knee pads right into the flue tile. When you're ready for another gardening session, you know exactly where all your gear is.

Holding outdoor flowers and plants

A very popular way to use leftover flue tiles is to use them to hold your flowers and plants in your yard or garden. They are perfect for arranging your flowers or plants alongside a walkway or alongside the front of your home. You can line them up side-by-side and place different colored flowers into each one to create an amazing display.

They are perfect for hard to grow areas, you can place the desired potting soil into the flue tiles so you can make sure that the flowers and plants will thrive. Not to mention you can arrange the tiles however you like so you can create an eye-catching display for all your neighbors to envy.

So next time you have the task of dismantling your chimney, don't toss those flue tiles. Keep them and use them in your garden or yard and you will be amazed why anyone would possibly throw them out. Even if you don't have a chimney, ask your friends and family if you could keep their leftover flue tiles so you can use them.

You are so ingenious Dina. Just amazingly great work here. Please forgive me for not commenting for a while now. I only publish about every 1 to 2 weeks now on AC and have been attending seminary, working, and have a pastorate (while chewing gum, riding a bike). Wonderful work as usual Dina.
