You can definitely use paste wax to help protect many household surfaces in your home. You can help prevent rust and corrosion, and even keep your kitchen clean and dust free. Here are some of the amazing things you can do throughout your home with paste wax.
Keep toilet from sweating
The last thing I would suspect when going into my bathroom is to see my toilet sweating, it's not like it can run a marathon or anything. But the truth of the matter is that toilets can and will sweat. If it is warm and humid, the toilet will sweat. Because the water in the toilet is cold, that causes condensation to form on the toilet tank and bowl.
A way to keep condensation forming on the outside of your toilet, apply some paste wax to the inside of the toilet tank. You will need to turn off the water supply to the toilet and then flush to remove all the water. Dry the inside of the tank as much as possible, then you can apply some paste wax to the inside of the tank. This will eliminate any further condensation problems because the paste wax acts as a sealant.
Keep wood furniture from drying out
I have a few pieces of wood furniture that I really want to preserve, because I want to be able to pass them down to my children, and then they can pass them down to their children, and so on and so on. To help protect those pieces of furniture and to keep them from drying out, I seal the wood with paste wax.
To do this all you need to do is apply a thin layer to the unfinished underside of the furniture. This way the paste wax can soak into the wood and protect it from drying and cracking.
Inside your refrigerator
This is a great way to protect the metal racks inside your refrigerator. It's very likely that many of us don't pay too much attention to this part of our refrigerators, but the fact of the matter is this area needs some TLC too.
You can prevent corrosion, rust, and even pitting of your refrigerator racks by apply just a thin layer of paste wax to them. It's always better to prevent problems from happening in the first place than it is to repair it later.
Repel dust in the kitchen
It seems like no matter how clean I keep my kitchen, dust and fingerprints always find their way to my kitchen appliances. I can't remember the last time I looked at my toaster without seeing little fingerprints and dust.
To fix this minor problem, just apply a thin coat of paste wax on all your kitchen appliances and you won't see those pesky little fingerprints and dust anymore.
Protect workshop tools
Paste wax works great for protecting all your tools in your workshop and garage. Just take some paste wax and coat the tools with a thin layer, and you won't have to worry about corrosion or rust damaging them.
