Personalizing a wedding is easier than a lot of people think. There are a lot of different things that you can do to make it your own unique wedding to cherish for a lifetime.
Being creative doesn't necessarily mean that you have to go outside of tradition. You can still have your wedding in a church and be creative.
On my wedding day, my mother-in-law decorated a bunch of small boxes that had our name and the date inside of a heart and then added this to the outside of the box. Inside of the box she filled it with chocolate and the chocolate lay on top of a small piece of paper that had a poem that was meant for my husband and I. She bought the boxes at a crafts store and printed the paper off herself. This was a very inexpensive way to make a memorable gift for people to take with them.
An outside wedding has become more popular in recent times. If you enjoy the outside weather and would like to have your wedding outside, then go for it. You can do anything you want on this day because it is the two of yours special day.
When my mother and father got married, they did not have a lot of money. They decided to do a dollar dance. To dance with the groom or bride, you have to pin a dollar on them. Most people would pin anywhere from $5 to $50 just to dance with the bride and groom. My parents had enough money to go on their honeymoon.
If you are not into the dollar dance then you can put a well outside that has the name of the bride and groom on it. Down below the name you should add a message that says for you to through a penny into the well and make a wish for the bride and groom. Most people will put more money in it just for fun.
I also like it when I see pictures of the bride and groom everywhere. I once went to a wedding that had the pictures inside of a guest book, you could view them before signing.
I love wedding receptions, this is the time for people to become really creative with things.
You can even become creative with the food. You can make the napkins say a small message or you can just make them go with the flow of things.
My sister had a punch fountain at her reception. It was a fountain that poured out punch into a big bowl for people to dip their drinks out of. I also like it when the couple includes food that they ate on their first date or a song that they first danced too.
To have a creative wedding, you don't need to spend a lot of money, just think of things that would make you both happy and don't go over the budget. You can often find create ideas at craft stores or even wedding stores. You may not even need to purchase things at a wedding store, just browse to get ideas. Most people will think of things that made them fall in love and add these to the wedding to make it a very memorable day.
