Creative Ways to Make a Romantic Table Setting for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is coming and I'd like to give you a few ideas on how to make a nice romantic table setting for you and your sweetie. This table setting will be so inviting for the both of you. I know that you are going to have fun making it and that the both of you are going to enjoy it immensely.

The first idea that I would like to give to you is that of painting on a cloth white napkin. What you are going to do is go to a craft store and buy some acrylic paints that have points on the end of them. The purpose of the points is so that you can draw with them. These paints are very inexpensive. They usually run about $.59 on up to $.79 a piece. Choose a variety of colors that you would like. You might want to choose reds, pinks, purples, and a few greens. When you are at the craft store pick up some colored lightweight jewels and a couple of silk roses. These will be applied to your napkin and the following ideas that I have for you. Once you are home with your paints I want you to take your two white napkins and make sure that they are folded in a square. Now I want you to create a design at the top left-hand corner of your napkin. Your design is going to go diagonally down towards the bottom of the napkin. Only go half way down the napkin though. You can create hearts with squiggly lines in different colors. Add dots around different places too. To add your gems squeeze a large dot of paint where you want the gem to go. Place the gem on top of the dot and press it down with the eraser of a pencil. The gem will dry in place with the paint. When you have finished painting lay your napkin aside to dry. Once your napkin is dry (give it about 24-48 hours) fold you napkin so that you can place it in a napkin ring. You are going to create a napkin ring out of your silk roses. The way to do this is to take a pair of wire cutters and pull off the greenery that is on the stem. Leave the leaves if you'd like though. You want to expose the wire. Wrap the wire around your napkin to act as a napkin ring. Your rose will be on the top covering the wire.

A few more ideas that I have for you is to decorate your plates, wine glasses, candle holders in the same fashion as you did above. Your table will be very romantic and inviting to the both of you. You sweetie will know that you care because you took your time to create a fabulous looking table for the both of you.

When you go to wash these items do not place them in the dishwasher. You will need to wash the items by hand so that the paint does not come off. What a wonderful memory that you will have to hold on to. What is nice to know too is that you can also use this idea for other holidays as well.
