Creative Ways to Tell Your Husband You Are Expecting

Finding out you are pregnant can be an excellent experience for a married couple. There are many ways you can tell your husband that you are pregnant. Some ways are fun, some are very playful, and some are just plain romantic.

If you want it to be a completely fun experience there are many things you can do to make it special. One idea is to leave a pregnancy test on the counter in the bathroom. If you have already taken one, you can buy a new one and leave it on the counter. When your husband comes home and sees the pregnancy test, he will probably come to you and ask, "What is this, are you pregnant?" Then you can tell him very nicely and in a cute way, "Why don't we find out together?" It will be a great shock, but also a wonderful surprise.

Another idea is to set up a very romantic dinner. You can use a variety of food that is baby related. You can have a dinner of baby back ribs, baby corn, and baby carrots. This will follow a theme. He can either guess what you are trying to tell him or you can tell him. If he doesn't get the theme by the end of the dinner, bring out a desert that will give him another hint like Cry Baby cookies or even a Baby Ruth to share. Then ask him if he read your hints that you are trying to tell him.

Another idea is to sit on his lap and just calmly kiss him on the cheek and tell him straightforward how wonderful of a dad he will be. Then talk about the fact that you are expecting his baby. He will be extremely happy, surprised, but it will be romantic.

You could also tell him that you haven't been feeling very good and that you want him to go to the doctor with you. When you call to make the appointment tell them that you took a pregnancy test at home and it was positive. Then when you get to the doctor's you know they will want to take a test to confirm the pregnancy. You can then tell him surprise, when the doctor comes in with the results. At least then if he faints there will be a doctor around.

There are many more ideas out there, just be creative. It's a fun and exciting time for both of you.
