Creative Ways to to Get Free Magazines

C. T.
It doesn't hurt to be creative with your money. Some people love to shop with coupons and others love a buy-one, get-one-free deal.

I have to admit I'm an information junkie. I love the internet for the endless supply of information available at your fingertips and offline I enjoy newspapers and magazines. I enjoy reading magazines at the doctor's office when I have to wait an hour or more for a 15 minute checkup. If I go out to lunch by myself you'll see me carrying a magazine or the local newspaper. If you're like me then you may enjoy the information I've compiled below that will hopefully feed your addiction for information and leave your wallet less stressed.

I suggest if/when you receive a confirmation email from the publisher of the magazine that you save it so that when it comes time to cancel your subscription you can just click on the customer service link found in the original confirmation email. This of course saves you the cost of a stamp. If you would like to continue a subscription after the free trial issue(s) then just pay the bill online or by mail.

Also, an alternative way to get your monthly fix from your favorite magazine is to visit your local library. Many times I can pick up last months issue of ESPN the magazine for $0.10......no that's not a typo!

Free Business Magazines for Professionals

This website has been a great find for me. I receive multiple free publications based on the industry I work in such as Network World, Computer World, etc. You register and fill out a simple profile then you will receive email offers for magazines specific to your industry. Additionally I have received other subscriptions such as The Sporting News, Radar, Stuff, Computer Shopper, PC World and others to name a few.

e-Rewards Opinion Panel

www.e-rewards.com

You register with the site then based on your profile you will periodically receive surveys. Each survey is attached to a currency amount that you are awarded for completing the surveys. Obviously the more surveys you complete the more currency you will obtain to redeem for magazines or other items listed on the site. I've been a member for over a year and I have accumulated over $130 in currency. The downfall is that you never actually receive any cash but at least you get to redeem the currency for magazines and other items such as 6 free Blockbuster rentals.

All magazines listed below are redeemable for a one-year subscription.

Almost every magazine will offer a free trial issue. Sometimes all you have to do is visit the magazines website or place a short phone call. The work involved is worth it when you consider a magazines price per newsstand issue.
