Creating a one of a kind wedding does not have to be difficult or expensive. With a little creativity and planning, you can plan a wedding ceremony with many personal touches. You do not have to go with a boring traditional wedding with some of these tips.

Use your family members: one great way to personalize your wedding ceremony is to use your family members in the actual ceremony. You can have your closest friends and save their family members do readings during your ceremony, such as passages from the Bible or favorite forms. You can even consider asking family members share a story about you and your new spouse to lighten the mood. You might even consider sharing funny stories about yourselves, and how you met as a couple. Your friends and family will not only enjoy being a part of your ceremony, but this is also a great way to personalize your ceremony.

Choose someone you know to officiate the ceremony: before choosing someone to preside over your wedding ceremony think about people that are close to you to make and add a personal touch to your ceremony. How about a preacher that you have known for your entire life, or a close friend that can conduct the ceremony? When you choose someone to marry you if you do not know well, it is harder for them to bring a personal touch to your wedding ceremony

Give tokens of your appreciation: It is common practice to give out small favors such as birdseed or bubbles as the bridegroom exits the ceremony. How about making these tokens of your appreciation of little more personable? Instead of the traditional matchbook with your name and wedding date, how about a heart-shaped cookie cutter with a heartfelt poem about love to hand out to each guest at your wedding? You could also consider using every guest, a CD full of your favorite love songs. You have so many options, so why not give something that tells a little bit about you.

Go with symbolic rituals: There are many symbolic rituals associated with the wedding ceremony. You can light a unity candle or break a glass during a Jewish ceremony. However, your possibilities are endless. As you can come up with your own symbolic rituals celebrating wedding.

Use your favorite songs: Nothing says you have to have the "Wedding March" played at your ceremony. Think about your favorite songs and ones that means something to you and use these songs instead. Consider using the first song that you ever danced to ask you met or a song that was playing when he proposed to you. When you go with the nontraditional song for your wedding ceremony, you are making your wedding or personalized.

Use children in your ceremony: Who says that children besides the flower girl and ring bearer should not be a part of a wedding? Your beloved nieces and nephews or even your next-door neighbor's children can be a perfect addition to your wedding. Everybody will appreciate the silly antics of a child. If you put them to work handing out programs, helping out at the reception and perhaps even decorating beforehand, everyone will remember the cute kids.

Create your own programs: You can easily create your very own personalized programs to hand out at the wedding ceremony. When you make your own, you not only save money, but you can make your program more personalized. Add a special poem or saying and your program will become a treasure to everyone at your ceremony.

No matter what you plan for your wedding, there are many things you can do to make your wedding more personalized. You can certainly get away from planning very traditional weddings and make your ceremony more "you".
