Creature Breeder: How to Play the Free Virtual Pet Game

A Guide to Making Quick Money and Getting Started

Wendy Brock
Breed your own virtual pets at www.creaturebreeder.com and have fun playing a simple and easy game that people of all ages can enjoy. This game allows you to have creatures on a farm and breed them with each other to get different breeds of creatures. You earn money from your pets' happiness and spend it to decorate your farm. It's easy to earn money and build up your farm empire very quickly.

From the home page, click on New User at the top of the page or click Sign Up. You will have to create a User Name, Password, and give your email address. Immediately, your farm appears with a little random pet. You begin with 100FB's, the Creature Breeder version of money.

Check out the food barrel on the screen and left click the food on the top of the barrel and drag it to the ground. That is the food for your creatures. You will need to feed them regularly or they will become ill. Your creature will never die, but if it is neglected, it will age faster.

Once it becomes "Old Age" in about 20 days, you can no longer breed them and can either keep them around or release them to the wild where they will roam free. Another option is to purchase an elixir from the store that will restore the creature's youth and you can breed it again.

Click on your creature. In the left panel, you'll see its name, sex, age, life stage, health, when it was last fed, and price. Click the tab "Look Closer." This next page will show details about your creature. On the left panel, you'll see the species of your creature, and its family tree. Further down you'll see if someone has proposed to purchase your creature. There is also a public diary for this particular creature where you can use it as a blog for what happens to your pet.

On the right panel, you can change your pet's name, suggest a price if you want to sell your pet, move to another farm if you have more than one farm, release it to the wild, breed, and get the embed code for another website. If you want to visit the wild, you and your pet can go walking through the forest in search of coins and rare wild plants called "twilight vines." If you have released other pets to the wild, you may catch a glimpse of them when visiting.

Click "View My Farms" at the top of the page. The tree that is on your farm is called a bonsai tree. Depending on your pets' happiness level, the tree will produce coins. You can then click on the leaves of the tree and the money will appear in the upper right hand corner of the page. You can immediately spend the money.

Before you start spending money, you need to know how to maximize your opportunity to make money. Click "Manage Farms." You'll see your First Farm which you can rename, add a welcome message or delete. Scroll down the page to a dark green box that reads "Actions." Click "New Farm." Name your second farm "Farm2" for now, you can rename it later. Farm2 now appears next to First Farm. Keep creating new farms until you have ten total farms. Creating farms is free and you're allowed to have ten. Plus, the more farms you have, the more money you will have.

Once you've created your ten farms, click "Store." In order to earn money, you'll need a money tree on each farm. Click "Essentials." There are only two money trees to choose from: "Bonsai Tree" or "Red Maple Tree." They each only cost 5FBs so whichever you choose is primarily whichever you like the best.

Upon clicking "Purchase" you will be taken immediately to your "Manage Farms" screen and you will see your tree in the "Unused Accessories" box. Click and drag that tree to Farm2. Now go back to the store and repeat this for the other eight farms.

After you've purchased money trees for each of your farms, click on First Farm. Your creature may be hiding behind the food barrel. If you can't see your creature, throw some food on the ground and it will come running. Your tree and your food barrel will keep changing positions until you manually move them where you want them. Click and drag them to the desired spot and they will stay there.

Now, you can either wait for your trees to bloom coins or you can create another user account. You can use the same email address because Creature Breeder allows you to have as many accounts as you want. So, go ahead and create another account, add the ten farms, purchase a tree for every farm, then go to the first farm of this second account.

Look below the farm picture at the box that reads "Favorite Farms." Click on the "find a farm..." link. Scroll down to "..or enter farm owner's name:" and type in the username of the first account you created and click "find." You will see a list of your farms. Click on the first farm of your account.

Once you're here, click on your creature, then click "Look Closer." Under the picture of your creature, you can "Propose Purchase." Click it and enter the total amount of FBs that you have and click "Make Proposal."

Log out of this account and log back in to your first account. In the left panel, you'll see "Proposals." You will see a message that your second account "wants to buy your creature for FBs." Click the sentence. A new page will appear and gives you the option of selling the creature or rejecting the offer. Click "Sell this Creature."

You have just earned free money. You don't have a pet, but you can look up the other account, find your old pet purchase it back for 0FBs and you have your pet back. You'll have to go into the other account to accept the purchase. So now you see how to earn fast FBs and have money to purchase whatever you want in the store.

Here's the rundown: You can have ten creatures per farm, ten farms per account, and as many accounts as you want. There's a lot of money to be made, lots of pets to breed, and lots of fun to be had no matter how old or young you are.
