Witches gliding through the night
Vampires slinking, out of sight.
Ghosts and ghouls and gruesome critters
Monsters sneak, and dark sprites flitter.
A zombie marches. A giant towers
A demon snarls. A devil glowers.
All Hallows Eve; a time to play,
Claiming the night for their evil stay.
Under cover of darkness, they scurry away.
The hour approaches, to start a new day.
Taking their bounty, their costumes they shed.
Children back to their mother's, and snug in their beds.
