It seem like every set of table top gadgets includes a cheese shaker. Really how much Parmesan cheese can one family shake? So what can be done with all those extra shakers?

~ Home made Bath Salts ~
Bath salts are easy to make with a little essence oil, Epsom salts, and food coloring. Just mix them up in a zip lock bag and then get ready to create a beautiful bathroom gift. This can turn an ordinary bath into a spa experience.

The cheese shaker is the perfect container to display the salts. It also allows the individual using the bath salts to put just the right amount for personal preferences. The salts can be layer in different colors and a quick bow around the top is a rainbow of perfection.

~ Diffuser ~
A cheese shaker is an excellent choice for a diffuser. It can e filled with a pretty potpourri and the holes in the metal lid release just right amount of aroma.

Bamboo shoots have become very popular for diffusers as well. Make your own with essence oils, bamboo shoots and the cheese shaker to hold the shoot in a decorative form.

~ Confectioners Sugar Shaker ~
Powered sugar is a fun decorating tool for cakes and cupcakes. A cheese shaker is an efficient way to spread the confectioners sugar evenly.

French toast needs a little dusting? Just grab the sugar shaker and sweeten up breakfast.

~ Bartenders Tool ~
Having a party and want to spend more time enjoying the guest instead of garnishing drinks? Make the swizzle sticks ahead of time and store them in the shaker. Line up the limes. Stack the olives. Display the lemon wedges. This way it serves as a useful decoration as well.

~ Confetti Shaker ~
It is fun to add a little confetti to a card that is mailed. Or spread some confetti on a scrap book page. There always seems to be a little left over. Toss the left overs into the shaker and next time there is a ready made batch. The confetti will change with new additions from the paper spreader and foil shreds as well.

~ Quick Fresh Flower Bouquet ~
Many people love fresh flowers, but really do not have a talent for making arrangements that look professional. The cheese shaker makes a quick way to create a beautiful floral arrangement. Simply snip the flowers so the ends rest near the bottom of the shaker. Fill the cheese shaker with water. Insert the flowers into the holes in the lid. The spacing is perfect.

No more woes about what to do with all those cheese shakers, use them.
