To create the spooky scene first you will need dry ice. Dry ice can be found at your local grocery store in the seafood department. Most Halloween or party outlets carry it as well. It is extremely important to handle the dry ice with care and caution. Do not store dry ice in your freezer. The extreme low temperature will cause the thermostat to shut the freezer off. Another thing to keep in mind about dry ice is that it "melts" faster than regular ice so purchase it close before the time of use. Remember to keep dry ice out of the reach of children!
Using thick gloves or tongs place the dry ice in an airtight container. Put the container inside the cauldron. Then cover the container with water. If you use warm water it will create more smoke, but it will disappear more quickly. Cold water will produce a foggy smoke and will last longer. If you find that the cauldron stops bubbling during your party just add more dry ice and water. Happy Haunting!
