It comes in a shorter, fatter, box, and upon opening it the tube is the same. It has a net weight of 4.2 ounces (119 g). The tube is only 5 inches long, and at the widest part, which is the bottom, is two inches across.
The front of the tube is so different. On the left is the cap, which has the back of it at the front. It sounds strange, but if you purchase it, you will understand. The rest of the tube is short and fat. It has the 'Crest' logo on it, with writing underneath, then a strip of white, with 'Whitening', and more writing, then the same blue as the Crest part.
To open up the white cap, you have to turn the tube over, then lift up the flip top. This top is nice and sturdy, and the toothpaste can be stood up on it.
So onto the toothpaste. When you squeeze the tube, the paste is quite a way down, as you have to push in a long way before you see the toothpaste. The color of it is a to turquoise, blue/green color.
I put around three quarters of an inch on my toothbrush, and then put it under the faucet. I then brushed my top, and bottom teeth. It does lather a little, but not as much as some toothpastes. It has a slight grit in the toothpaste, but didn't bother me. The taste is mint, and something slightly medicinal. I didn't particularly like the taste, but that alone, wouldn't prevent me from using it.
It rinsed off well, and I was left with clean teeth, and an okay taste in my mouth.
Len always gets to use the toothpastes, so over to him. He has been using it now for a couple of weeks, and I asked him how it is going. He told me that it cleans his teeth, and that the slight granules are not a problem.
I looked at his teeth, because as you get older, your teeth discolor no matter what you do. There may be a very slight improvement in the color, but nothing that jumps out at you.
A little from the box:
"With regular brushing Crest Pro-Health Whitening provides these benefits.
Fights Cavities.
Fights Plaque.
Fights Gingivitis.
Builds increasing protection against painful sensitivity.
Fights Tartar.
Whitens teeth by removing surface stains.
Freshens Breath."
It is suggested that you use it twice a day for adults, and children 12 and over. Brush for 1 minute.
I was lucky enough to get this product for $3.50 at CVS, with register coupons for $2.99. At 51 cents, I figured this was an excellent purchase.
I honestly think that all of these 'whitening' toothpastes are an improvement on toothpastes of the past, but none of them do a fantastic job.

Post a CommentI did not like the taste either. I do, however, like the regular Crest.
It did nothing for me
I agree wholeheartedly - none of these 'whitening' toothpastes whiten all that much! cheers ;)
