Cricket Night Poem

I like the Peaceful Song of Crickets

needle felted dogs
This poem started of as a poem about hearing the peaceful song of crickets at night. The incessant ringing of crickets. Poetry about ringing crickets. Wouldn't you like a cricket ring tone, or some of the other animal cell phone rings lsted here?

Perhaps a toad? Maybe a cricket?
Sub sonar or dolphin squeak,
froggy croak or bluebird tweet,
where can I find my phone?
And what was it's last ring tone?
I guess I'll dial
and then a smile...

Somewhere outside on the ground
the crickets' night songs sing;
a slightly tinny trilling sound:
my lost cell phone ring :)

Now to turn it off
and listen to songs of the night:
frogs, toads, birds,
and crickets.
