Step back to the fifties by walking into Crickster's Rock and Roll Cafe in Chester, West Virginia. There is nothing around the Chester area quite like this vintage oriented duplicate of a typical fifties cafe, complete with a checkered floor.

The owners, baby boomers Sherrie and Dan Stewart, started out their business with a place up the road called Crickster's Soft Serve. It was such a big hit that all summer long, visitors stopped to hang out at this outdoor, park-like spot to get ice cream and other delights.

In fact, Crickster's little pink and white building was clean, neat, and attractive with beautiful flowers everywhere. There was bright pink paint on everything outdoors to match the buildings. They carried this brilliant, colorful theme with them to the cafe.

Breakfast is dished out all day at Crickster's Rock-n- Roll Cafe in Chester, WV. Some specifics the menu provides are Wake Up Little Susie platters, Scherri Baby omelets, At The Hop sides, The King [Elvis], Little Darlings for kids under 12, and additional, inexpensive breakfast foods.

Likewise, the lunch, dinner, and anytime nutrients bear cute names too. There are Rock-n-Roll Platters, Tossin-N-Turning salads, Great Balls of Fire, Under The Boardwalk... and there are Do Wah Diddy's Appetizers that are oh, so delicious.

Don't forget to attempt one of the rock-n-roll platters. The Big Bopper, a newer favorite of many, is a half pound of pure Angus beef chuck patty served on a grilled bun. The platter includes a choice of Brew City fries or thick cut, batter dipped onion rings and a side. The curly french-fried potatoes are yummy with this meal or any others. The entire meal can be purchased or simply the sandwich.

In addition, there are a few enticing new foods at Crickster's Rock-n-Roll Cafe. Pizza is now served hot from the kitchen, as are clam strips or potato skins with bacon and cheese. Let the staff know what the experience eating there is and how the new foods are.
