Cricut Imagine is the Coolest New Scrapbooking Tool Introduced in 2010

This is the year of the Golden Tiger, according to the Chinese Zodiac but according to the scrapbooking culture, I would have to say this is the Year of the Cricut! Provo Craft has really shined this year with their innovative cutting machines. Earlier this year, Provo Craft introduced the Cricut Cake, an exciting new kitchen appliance that is designed to cut edible materials such as gum paste and frosting sheets to give your confections a professional look. In previous years, ProvoCraft has introduced number of personal electronic cutting machines for use with papers, cardstock, chipboard, vinyl and other materials. And now they have introduced a new and improved version of their cutting machines that will take the scrapbooking and paper-crafting world by storm.

This summer at the Craft and Hobby Convention and Tradeshow, the new Cricut Imagine was introduced. This is a personal cutting machine that not only cuts but it also prints as well. Cricut Imagine saves you time since you no longer have to use three different tools to get designs, print, and then cut projects. The new machine helps you add more personalization and creativity to projects with a new library of content including shapes, patterns and color. In addition, Cricut Imagine is easy to use and is built upon award-winning cutting and printing technology from Provo Craft and HP.

I am super excited about this new product. I had previously owned the original Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter, or Lil Bug as us scrappers called it. Then I upgraded to the awesome Cricut Expressions cutting machine. I am a huge fan of HP; they are my company of choice for my computer and printing needs so this is a match made in heaven for me. I have not had any problems with my products from either company over the years so I feel confident that this product will be a good buy.

Cricut Imagine is compatible with the Gypsy by Provo Craft, which is a handheld design studio that is also compatible with all Cricut Machines. And all of the Cricut cartridges are compatible with the new Cricut Imagine.

Some of the new features of the Cricut Imagine is that it prints with on board color and pattern selector, has a retractable tray, has detachable accents for personalizing your Cricut machine, an LCD touch screen and it uses a different mat than the other Cricut cutting machines. There are currently 12 new Cricut Imagine Colors and Patterns Cartridges and 12 new Cricut Imagine Art cartridges. There is also over 150 original Cricut cartridges with new cartridges releasing monthly! The suggested retail price is $599.99.
