This week, November 21, she is found and rushed to the emergency room. The team is alerted and waiting to hear word. She flat lined for a short time and they brought her back. The surgery was successful. She is going to live and may even leave the hospital in a few days. The team is on the case, they need to know who did this to one of their own.
She is awake and talking to Morgan (Shemar Moore), she states she never saw it coming. She tells them it was the person from the coffee shop. So many questions need answers. She though he liked her. Garcia tells them the name he gave her. He used a twenty-two caliber gun to shoot her. Morgan had asked her to go out with him, but she was mad at him and turned him down. Is love blossoming here?
The guy that shot her returns to the scene and asks the neighbor what happen. He finds out she is alive at the hospital. He makes some comments to the neighbor and leaves. Is he headed to the hospital? Criminal minds are at work.
Reed (Matthew Gray Gubler) and Morgan continue to ask Garcia questions. The guy used a disposable cell phone. Now he is seen at a gun store trying a new gun. Garcia describes her date at the restaurant.
He was wearing a knock off Rolex and wanted to know about her work and what she does. He was very charming and interested in her life. He described himself as a great lawyer with a good life. He did use terminology that lawyers use, but the team does not believe he is a practicing lawyer.
They bring in a computer guy to get into Garcia's computer and look for the guy by name or any lawyers that were fired or disbarred recently. They found an encrypted file on her computer. Bad news for the team, they have been ordered to stop working on the case and Garcia is on leave. There is a investigation into why her computer has a file on it that does not belong there.
Morgan gets a look at Garcia's apartment. He is mildly amused. He is spending the night on the couch even though there is a officer outside. Morgan says, "Hey silly girl, you know I love you". Moments later shots ring out. The officer is shot.
Morgan gives Garcia his gun and tells her to shoot anyone that walks through the door and heads out looking for the shooter. Morgan heads back to the apartment and he and Garcia almost shoot each other. She remembers the guy would not sit by a window at the restaurant. She remembers the car and how he had the seatbelt buckled behind him.
Could it be another federal agent? Garcia counsels families with family members who have died by tragedy. Garcia keeps track of these and other important things on the company computer. Someone has his or her toes stepped on. They have found the deputy that was involved in three deaths as the first on the scene. Is he a killer going back to check his work?
Because Garcia flagged the cases, he thought she was on to him. Deputy Battle is at FBI headquarters. Deputy Battle wants to know why she was looking into his cases. He asks if it is possible to move his files out of the FBI system. The Internal Affairs person says "yes".
Garcia hacks into the security camera and sees the man that shot her. Battle knows they are onto him, he grabs the Internal Affairs guy with a gun. JJ (AJ Cook) shoots him through a window right in the head. Its over everyone is safe. The computer guy is intrigued with Garcia and is watching her. She goes to talk to him, they shake hands, is love in the air finally for Garcia?
