Criminal Minds to Return to CBS with New Episodes

At last, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike is over. According to FOXNews, writers returned to work on February 13, 2008 after a 100 day strike. Now many television fans are wondering what will happen with their favorite shows- will there be new episodes, has the show been canceled, when will all these reruns stop?

Criminal Minds is an action/drama series about a team of FBI profilers who help various police departments capture serial killers. The team is able to get into the killers head and figure out what his/her next move will be. Criminal Minds is one of the most top rated shows on CBS Primetime.

The question of Criminal Minds being canceled can be put to rest. According to a Press Release by CBS on Feb.14, Criminal Minds has been renewed for the 2008/2009 season. TVGuide.com reports that we can expect 7 new episodes of Criminal Minds this season, though I have seen reports on the internet claiming as many as 9 new episodes and as few as 4 new episodes. I expect to see a new episode toward the middle of March.

Recall is the title of the next Criminal Minds episode, according to multiple online sources. I found a purported copy of a portion of the script for this episode on the Spoiler TV website, and here are a few bits of information about the episode that I have gleaned:

-Reid and Hotchner interview a death row inmate

-A stripper deals with a drunken customer in a dark parking lot. This scene involves a hunting knife and the near loss of the drunken customer's package.

-Possible interruption of romantic interlude between 2 agents by Garcia and Rossi

This looks to be an intriguing episode and will likely bring regular viewers back to the television on Wednesdays at 9pm Eastern/Pacific and 8pm Central time.
