The Crop-A-Dile is a handheld tool punches and sets your eyelets or snaps with a simple squeeze of your hand! It has two punches with slide rulers: a 1/8" hole punch and a 3/16" hole punch. It can put a hole in paper, cardstock, chipboard, acrylic, plastics, fabric including leather and tin. I have to say it punches through any of these mediums like butter!
There little cubes on the inside of the Crop-A-Dile or mouth of the Crop if you will that spin and have different settings to choose from for setting your eyelets. The tool itself is made of high quality materials. It seems almost indestructible and has a nice comfortable rubber grips on the handles. There are only a few cons about this product which are the handle seems to be a bit big and so those of us with smaller hands have to stretch to grip the handle. It is also possible to crack or crush your eyelet if you squeeze too hard on the handle so a little practice is needed. And the only other down side to this tools is that it has a limited reach!
I would have to say that the number one complaint about this tool is its limitations on how far into a piece of paper you can set an eyelet or punch a hole. So what did We R Memory Keepers do about it? Well, they created a solution... the Crop-A-Dile II Big Bite!
The Big Bite is made from the same high quality materials resulting in a quality tool that will last. It allows you to punch holes and set eyelets deeper into your paper as far as six inches so you could easily place an eyelet, snap or gromlet in the middle of a 12x12 scrapbook page.
