Crosby Loggins - Time to Move

Sherrill Fulghum
Often times the offspring of famous musicians try to follow in the footsteps of their famous parents; sometimes these children display some real talent, while others simply try to ride the coattails of the famous parents seeking fame and fortune. Then there is Crosby Loggins...who tried numerous professions not related to music before finally following his father - Kenny Loggins - into the music business. If it is true that musical talent can be passed along in the genes, then Crosby certainly inherited his share and then some. While Crosby is his own man with his own voice and style, Crosby also is reminiscent of his father in looks and sound very much in the same manner of John and Julien Lennon.

Crosby first came to the notice of American audiences when he reluctantly agreed - Crosby was asked three times - to join the cast of "Rock the Cradle" - an MTV music reality show in the spring of 2008 that displayed the talents of famous music offspring. Crosby joined Landon Brown song of Bobby Brown, Lucy Walsh daughter of Joe Walsh, A'Keibe Burrell daughter of MC Hammer, Lara Johnston daughter of Doobie Tom Johnston, Chloe Rose Lattanzi daughter of Olivia Newton-John, Jess Money daughter of Eddie Money, Lil B Sure son of Al B. Sure, and Jesse Blaze Snider song of Dee Snider. Crosby held on and in the final Crosby beat out Jesse Snider to win the competition and the chance to make an album.

"Time to Move" is Crosby Loggins' solo debut album; a collection of 10 songs where Crosby displays his vocal and guitar playing talents. Seven time Grammy Award winner John Mayer joins Crosby on the title track "Time to Move".

Crosby may be a rocker at heart but "Time to Move" also shows off Crosby's pop, jazz, and country music skills. He weaves an album of tunes that rattle around in your head, songs to make you dance along with the beat, and songs for joining in singing along and to just feel good.

Crosby Loggins is his own man and his own musician, but he has learned well from the man Crosby calls Dad and we know as Grammy Award winning Kenny Loggins - the man who took us to the "House on Pooh Corner" and the master of the movie theme song.

"Time to Move" is a fun filled rock out album well worth not just one listen several times over; put it on, crank it up, and have a good time with Crosby Loggins and "Time to Move".
