Crosses
Deftones' Chino Moreno and Far guitarist and music producer Shaun Lopez are currently collaborating on a side project they are calling Crosses. Moreno told noisecreep.com that new material is "really minimal and soothing -- we're just writing these little pieces of music, whether it starts with piano or some down tempo beats." Moreno and Lopez are recording during breaks in their schedule. For any loyal Deftones fan Crosses is a promising side project with Moreno laying vocals down that are bare boned and raw.
Crosses currently have 16 tracks near completion and according to Moreno, they might "release a series of EPs on our own on the Net -- our idea for this is to just put it out there and whoever likes it, cool. We just want to make music because we like to do it, just doing it ourselves and utilizing the Internet." According to the group's Facebook page the release is "sooner than you think."
