Crucifix Customs

Poem on the Meaning of Easter

Akili Amina
Winter fulfilled, decides to rest it chill

Old chap frost, relax. Bounce is in the air!

Multi-colored tulips blooming at will

Ends the hibernation of stretchy bears

Begins the time of crucifix customs

Solemn ringing tune of church bells swinging

Little girls shoes patent, cute dresses they come

Suits wear brand new boys, happy egg hunting

Hidden bunnies, popping out of their holes

Easter is here and its time they are caught

Their face upon cakes, their ears take a toll

Rejoice our King risen, or have you forgot?

Praise the savior, robe of crimson plum

Sacrificial lamb, crucifix customs
