Cruise and Cusack Stalker Strikes Again

The woman who has been caught stalking Tom Cruise several times was arrested last Thursday outside of Cruise's home in Beverly Hills. When Cruise's security noticed the woman outside of his home they called the police and she was arrested. The stalker, Emily Leatherman was arrested at around 3pm on Thursday and taken to the Beverly Hills station.

"Leatherman just showed up, and Tom Cruise's security called the police," Sgt. Foxen says. "Cruise had a standing restraining order against her.

"We determined that she is a transient without a residence," Sgt. Foxen added. "She was cooperative, and is currently in jail at the Beverly Hills station."

It was not clear if Tom Cruise or his new wife Katie Holmes was home at the time of the incident the police stated. They wouldn't even say who alerted them of the uninvited Leatherman.

Interestingly enough this woman has the same exact full name and age as a woman who was caught stalking John Cusack. The police couldn't confirm whether this was the same woman, but it looks like that may be the case.

John Cusack won a victory in court in July 2006 when ad judge granted him a temporary restraining order. Leatherman was ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from Cusack, his home, his car, his workplace or anywhere else he works. Court papers alleged that Leatherman "is showing unusual interest by stalking, throwing long letters of interest over my fence in bags with rocks and screwdrivers inside, making unannounced visits to offices of people I work with in an attempt to meet with me and listing my address as her own during a recent arrest."

The court documents also stated that the homeless Leatherman "threatens to commit acts of violence against herself if I do not help her."

Apparently Leatherman claims that all of the shenanigans she's responsible for were aimed at getting attention on her story. Her story claims that she was "dragged around and raped" in the early 2000's.

It is unknown whether Leatherman has been stalking other stars but it sounds like she needs some mental help.

Hollywood stars have to put up with stalkers, uninvited guests, push paparazzo's and even death threats, daily. One of the popular methods is to setup a restraining order like Cruise and Cusack have done here. Besides restraining orders they have hire security around their homes and work places and in many cases hire a body guard. Being a start isn't always what it's cut out to be.
