Start by looking online on major vacation suppliers' websites. You might be able to find a great discounted rate by buying a pre-bundled cruise package from one of these sites, rather than buying directly from the cruise line. Looking at these websites will allow you to comparison shop between different cruise lines and destinations.
To get even better deals, try researching cruises in the off-season. Caribbean cruises, for example, are in less demand during the summer than they are in the wintertime, and so they are usually less expensive. Booking your cruise for just before or just after the holidays can also save you money. Additionally, booking a cruise very late or very early can score you heavily discounted prices.
Look into the possibility of a repositioning cruise. A repositioning cruise is when the cruise line needs to move a ship to a different location- for example; a cruise line needs to move a ship from Alaska into the Caribbean to meet a demand for Caribbean cruises. Repositioning cruises often come with low price tags, because if the company has to move a ship, they'd rather do it with paying customers on board.
Be careful when you're considering cruises to research any package or all-inclusive deals. Sometimes these 'deals' are more expensive than buying things separately. A cruise line may promise to hold the ship for you if your flight is delayed, so long as you buy your airline ticket through them. This can end up costing a lot more than buying the cruise and airfare separately. If you buy an all-inclusive deal, you may end up paying extra just for the convenience.
Cruises are grand adventures and fun for all ages, and with these tips you can find great cheap cruise deals to make your vacation a grand success!
