1 bag microwave popcorn
17 oz mixed nuts
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 T molasses
1 t vanilla
Directions for Crunch & Munch Recipe

Pop popcorn according to package directions and pour onto a non-stick cookie sheet. Sprinkle the nuts over the popcorn and place in a warm oven.Combine the water, sugar and molasses in a heavy saucepan and cook using low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Continue cooking until the mixture boils; do not stir. Allow the mixture to boil until it reaches a temp. of 250 degrees, or tests as a hard ball stage. Remove the pan from the heat and add the vanilla; stir. Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and drizzle the hot mixture over the popcorn and nuts. Allow the mixture to cool. Store in an air tight container.
Tip
This recipe will fill several gift jars. Simply fill the decorative gift jar and cover with a tight fitting lid.
