Save all your tears for tomorrow
There are more here needing your sorrow
Their life stories may never be read
Cry all of your tears for the undead

Their souls have been lost to this world
The Truth, in their ears, has never been heard
They live and they move day-to-day
Because they're blind, they have lost their way

Born to this world full of sin
Both from without and from within
Our souls are all tainted, dirty, unclean
That was until Jesus came on the scene

The dead, who are saved, have their reward
They're at peace and resting in the Lord
They no longer feel anguish or pain
It's the living who have so much to gain

When we were born, God gave us a voice
As you grow, you are given a choice
The Word goes forth - God's plan laid out
God's desire for you is shown with no doubt

God desires all come to repentance
He offers his love and his forgiveness
In return, all he asks is that you believe
And salvation's the gift you shall receive

Salvation, being saved, what does it all mean
It's something precious, though it's never seen
It's a most holy gift, all the world can share
It comes from the Father to show how he cares

To be saved from death is why
Jesus came to earth to die
He gave His life for you and me
So we could share eternity

Christ died to repay the sin-debt we owed
So that salvation could be bestowed
To every woman, child and man
And we'd be restored unto God again

The undead are the living, just like you and me
The one greatest difference, they can never be free
It is only through Christ that freedom may come
It's the reason God sacrificed His only Son

They can never be free till Jesus is theirs
Giving their lives to Christ and becoming joint-heirs
Take to heed the words you have read
Cry all your tears, cry all your tears, cry your tears for the undead.
