It's done! The top 12 finalists of Season 9 American Idol are Crystal Bowersox, Didi Benami, KatieStevens, Lacey Brown, Paige Miles, Siobhan Magnus, Tim Urban,Michael Lynche, Lee Dewyze, Casey James, Andrew Garcia, and AaronKelly. The Mar. 11th show revealing the final 12 also stirred up some controversy over the ones sent home. Evidently some fans don't get it why Lilly Scott had to go home. Let's not forget this show elevates contestants to the next level based on who gets the most votes. So, where were all her fans when the voting started? It's simple; she didn't get enough votes to stay in. There is no mystery here. The others eliminated were Katelyn Epperly, Alex Lambert, and Todrick Hall.

What happens next? Next week themed nights start and the songs will showcase "The Rolling Stones." The pressure is going to gain even more momentum now!

Who do you think will win the show? Despite Crystal Bowersox's bout of sickness and hospitalization last week and near miss on Idol, she has now seemed to recover and has been dubbed Simon Cowell's pick of the litter. Though she reportedly has diabetes, she is a solid performer on Idol and is favored to win among many poll sites. Crystal is the epitome of the "American" girl. Down to earth and not pretentious she displays a lot of confidence on stage and always portrays the picture of being cool headed and calm. Nerves don't seem to play a role in her performances, or at least it doesn't show if she is nervous. She has natural talent and has a very good chance of becoming the next "American Idol."

Crystal Bowersox is a wife and mother of one. Crystal hails from Ohio and has a twin brother. Her Mar. 10th performance of Creedence Clearwater's "Long as I Can See the Light," got her rave reviews from all of the judges and she is officially now labeled, the one to beat. Crystal's progression on the show is quite impressive considering she had not even seen American Idol prior to her audition and had no idea what she was in for.

Michael Lynche (a.k.a. Big Mike) amassed praise among judges after his solid performance of Maxwell's version of Kate Bush's "This Woman's Work." His strong vocals are certainly going to carry him further in the competition and is "the guy to beat" at the present time.

Let's keep watching next Tuesday on Fox at 8pm for the first theme night with "The Rolling Stones."
