Crystal Bowersox: Take a Look at Her Wedding Gown

Karen LoBello
Crystal Bowersox wed long-time friend and musician, Brian Walker, on Sunday, 10-10-10 at the place where they met, a Chicago open mic club. Read about the wedding here.

Fans heard about her wedding gown, but had to wait for photos, as they weren't immediately released. Now you can see Crystal and her new groom on their wedding day.

Dress designer, Tara Lynn, called Crystal the "ideal customer." Lynn is known for her the natural, sustainable fabrics that she uses in her creations. This is what drew Crystal to the designer.

The wedding gown worn by Bowersox was no surprise to her fans. It was in keeping with her unique, down-to-earth, Bohemian style. The dress was very simple with princess lines and an open back, crisscrossed in hemp twine straps. The train of the dress was embellished with seashells, beads, and twine. The front of the dress featured a sunflower.
The designer said that Crystal's gown--minus the train'--could easily be worn to another occasion.

On another note, there were no diamonds to be found on the wedding ring. Crystal says, " -- we don't believe in the violence and injustice that occurs involving the diamond trade industry." The ring, designed by Walker, sported a 1.1 carat ruby.
