Tiny crystalline worlds
Piling onto micro-universes
Crushed by the heel of my boot . . .

Pristine Patterns
Echoing the winds of ages
Destroyed with the flick of a wrist . . .

I must sit inside
And watch the world through windows
So I do not break it.

This one is from the July/August/Septemeber 2000 issue of "The Poet's Page". This was one of the first few poems I wrote as an "adult". I just remember that Kira was quite small and everything around me, not just the snow, felt quiet and fragile.
