Born January 7, 1956. He grew up in Queens, New York and began acting in the 1980s. His first film appearance was in the 1980 film Getting Wasted. Caruso also had supporting roles in An Officer and A Gentlemen, Blue City and First Blood. He made a transition into television with a recurring role on the hit show Hill Street Blues. This stint was followed by a lead part on NYPD Blue. But after a short time he decided he wanted to return to film. This career move didn't quite prove to pay off and in 2002 he returned to the silver screen with the hit show CSI: Miami.
Emily Proctor - plays "Calleigh Duquesne"
Born October 8, 1968. She grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and then went to acting school for two years. Before she had even graduated she was already working. She appeared in the films Jerry Maguire and Breastmen with David Schwimmer. She even played Lana Lang on the third season of Lois and Clark. But the role that garnered her true attention was the recurring role of Ainsley Hayes, an Associate White House Council on the award-winning The West Wing.
Adam Rodriguez - plays "Eric Delko"
Born April 2, 1975. He grew up in Yonkers, New York. As a child he auditioned for The Cosby Show. He wanted to be a baseball player but an injury forced him to reconsider his options. He made appearances on NYPD Blue, Law and Order, Felicity, and Brooklyn South before making his way to CSI: Miami.
Khandi Alexander - plays "Dr. Alex Woods"
Born September 4, 1957. Born and raised in New York City, Khandi started out on the stage as a Broadway performer. She went on to show off her dance skills as the choreographer for Whitney Houston's shows for three years. She is also not a stranger to series regular roles on television. She starred in both NewsRadio and ER before making the move to Miami.
Rex Linn - plays "Detective Frank Tripp"
Born November 13, 1956. With over 60 film and television credits this veteran is often cast as a stern law enforcement officer. He is a great addition to the CSI: Miami cast.
Jonathan Togo - plays "Ryan Wolfe"
Born August 25, 1977. He was raised in Massachusetts and obtained a bachelor's degree in theater from Vassar College. Although the youngest member of the cast he too has had several television co-star and guest star roles.
