"CSI: Miami" Makes Waves with Out of the Office Issues

David Caruso's Character's Life is a Mystery in Itself

RONYAE
Horatio Caine, portrayed by David Caruso (Jade) has a very mysterious life on the weekly crime drama program, CSI: Miami. If he's not helping in keeping his brother Ray hidden, or protecting/taking care of Ray's estranged/abandoned families, he's trying to keep his past in perspective. The entire program is awesome, and what I like about it (CSI:Miami) is that each character not only have their real-life issues at work, but their personal lives are often seen taking a toll on them.

I remember an episode where Horatio's past job position in New York had intersected with a case there in Miami. The rival gang members remembered Horatio and had a mark on his head (in lighter terms; they wanted to kill him). There is always so much action involved in these situations; Horatio is the man! His life is filled with drama: Personal and Occupational.

And who can forget the episode where he went to visit the priest about the ghosts of his past. Horatio and the Priest were conversing about him fighting the demons that were haunting from an incident where he had shot a man by accident. Just as they were getting deep into the conversation, they heard gunshots. Apparently, there was a funeral in session, and the casket was opened by a gunman, that took out the entire group of mourners. It turned out that they suspects also knew Horatio from New York, and the beef was on. Not only did he have to solve the case, but he had to protect himself as well. That episode was one of my favorites.

Another point on his drama-filled life, is how in almost every episode, Horatio's brother Ray is often involved somewhere in the incident/crime. I remember an episode where they had to fake Ray's death again, so that Ray and his son and the child's mother could escape the country. But what puzzles me at times, is how much money does Horatio truthfully have? I mean, he's always able to put these abandoned families of his supposedly 'dead' brother in homes, apartments and take care of them. Either he's mighty rich or just has too big of a heart. But I love his demeanor in the program; he's always so calm and cool-collective.

Caruso is the best man for that part in my opinion; they couldn't have placed a more fitting person in that role if they tried. Of course that is strictly my opinion, and a good one at that. But, on to the point. Not only is Horatio dealing with his life, the unsolved crimes, the lives and well-being of his staff, but he's also being bothered by the Internal Affairs Office on his tactics of crime solving and procedures; not forgetting how deep they get into the personal lives of his staff and their capabilities for their jobs.

I make sure that I'm in front of the television, and interruption-free on Monday nights, just so I can solve the next murder case, cheer Horatio on and see what type of drama the rest of the crew is having for that week. I just love this program and all the other CSI programs as well.
